Tarea 3.3

What was the Renaissance?

The Renaissance was a period in European history marked by a cultural flowering, beginning in Florence in the Late Middle Ages and later spreading to the rest of Europe until about 1600. Its influence affected literature, philosophy, art, politics, science religion etc. We are going to focus on art.
The Renaissance is divided into two periods: The Quattrocento (XV century Italian art) and Cinquecento (XVI century art). Renaissance comes from Fr. renaissance ("rebirth": be born again). But, what was born again? Let's answer that question in the next activities.
